PRIVACY POLICY

Overview
Arrow Duels is a browser-based 2-player game. This policy explains what information the game handles when you play.
Information We Collect
Nickname: the display name you type in the lobby. It is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) and shared with your opponent inside the room so they can see who they're playing.
Room & gameplay data: a temporary room code, background color choice, turns, shots, score and chat-free game state. This is stored on our backend only for the duration of an active match so both players stay in sync.
Anonymous client ID: a random identifier generated in your browser to tell players apart within a room. It is not tied to any real-world identity.
Basic technical data: standard request information (such as IP address and user agent) may be processed transiently by our hosting provider to deliver the page and keep the service running.
What We Do NOT Collect
No accounts, emails, passwords or phone numbers.
No payment information.
No advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
No analytics that profile you personally.
No location data, contacts, microphone or camera access.
How We Use Data
The minimal data above is used only to run the game: match two players in a room, render the duel in real time, and remember your nickname so you don't have to retype it. It is not sold, rented, or shared for marketing.
Data Retention
Game rooms and their state are short-lived and are removed automatically after matches end or become inactive. Your nickname stays in your own browser until you clear it.
Your Choices
You can clear your nickname and local data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this app. Closing the tab ends your session.
Children
The game is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy as the game evolves. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
